Chapter 90--- world wide confession

Meanwhile it was Sunday afternoon, and Anjili was still in a confused state of mind, she had not decided on what she would like to do as far as ritesh was concerned, was she to say yes to him and go on and live her life and be happily married to him or was she to say no and continued living the way she is now, it was surly confusing and there were lots of things and lots of people that were going be effected by her decision, there was an immense pressure on her shoulders, but she knew it well that what ever she decided will affect her for life, so she had to think twice and be careful while considering both options,

She sat down in the garden on the swings and was in deep thought, when she heard some foot steps approaching her, she looked up to see it was her brother, she smiled at him and he came and sat on the other swing next to her

Anjili: chottey when did you come

 Arnav: just now di, how come you are sitting here alone

Anjili: oh that nothing I just felt like

Arnav: (looked at her worried face and said) I know what your thinking off,

Anjili looked up at him surprised and confused

Arnav: (he took her hand in his and said) its about jiju right

Anjili: (shocked) how do you know

Arnav: di my wife tells me everything

Anjili nodded her head, and then said

Arnav: I don’t know what to do I am so confused (she said sadly)

Arnav: what is there to be confused, just do what you what to do

Anjili: its not that easy

Arnav: love is never easy di, if it was easy then it would be no fun

Anjili smiled back at his statement and then again wondered what to do, and then she randomly asked him

Anjili: if you were me what would you do

Arnav: (looked at her a bit startled, but then got back to his senses and replied back) di honestly I would do exactly what would make me happy, if I were you I’d stop thinking about everyone else and do what I want to do,

Anjili looked up at him and then he said

Arnav: but di that’s my nature, and you know that, you know me I do what I want when I want and how I want and it doesn’t make a difference to me what people think or what they say,

Anjili: ya chottey I know that’s your nature,

Arnav: di the only thing that I would like to tell you is that, do what makes you happy, and you know very well  what makes you happy, if you get scared you may regret it for life

Anjili nodded at him understanding what he was trying to indicate, but she was still not sure, she needed to be sure, she needed time to think properly, she knew well that she loved him she knew well that she wanted to marry him again, she even knew well that she would die with out him, but still she was scared, because she didn’t want things to go wrong and become a mess, if that happened then she would be very unhappy for the rest of her life, but then if she didn’t go back to him she would loose out on the chance and then what if things work out between them, she closed her eyes and took  a deep breath, as her heart started to beat faster and faster in that moment she didn’t care about anything, the only thing in her mind at this point of time was to be happy, her mind played a flash back of the time when he proposed to her again in the car, oh how she had that glow, she remembered waking up in the morning with a smile, she knew she wanted that, and she knew it was because of him, she needed to put an end to the confusion inside her and she knew exactly how to do it, as she opened her eyes she had a spark in them, took a deep breath, her heart started to beat faster and faster and she looked at her brother and said

Anjili: chottey can you get me a flight ticket to Glasgow

Arnav: (smiled and he knew what she was going to do, he said) sure di

She got up from the swing and packed her bags arnav organized the ticket, and dropped her to the airport, as she was walking out of the car he stopped her

Arnav: di

Anjili looked back

Arnav: best of luck

Anjili: thanks chottey

Arnav: go get him back di

She smiled and then left to go inside

As she reached Glasgow, she called up his assistant to find out about his wear abouts, he was at a press conference about a new merger with a big company at the Hilton hotel, she hopped into a cab and reached the hotel, and came into the board room where the conference was being held, as she entered she saw lots of reporters with mikes and cameras, and in front of them he stood, he looked as handsome as ever in a simple black shirt and jeans, the reporters asked him all sorts of questions

Reporters: so Mr malkhani, this merger with the goliath group of companies is a big deal, for you, can you tell us the improvements you are planning to bring in the market with this merger

Ritesh: yes well this is a big deal and the merger is a big one,  as far as improvements in the market are concerned my development team is looking into it, we plan to start a line of casual wear under the gulaith companies

Reporters: hmm, and will this new line bomb the market, like your previous ones

Ritesh: (chuckled) I sure hope so

Everyone started to laugh and then another reporter asked

 Reporter: sir, you have some connections with AR designs as well don’t you

Ritesh: (remembered Anjili as soon as the reporter mentioned this, he hesitated ) well yes I no the owner Mr Arnav Singh Raizada well

As soon as he said that, he heard another voice in the crowd, one familiar it said

Voice: and what about me

He looked closer, a figure appeared in front of him, it was Anjili, she stood in front of the crowd, as they spilt and made way for her to come in front, she looked gorgeous in that long black dress, ritesh was shocked as hell to see her here like this, he said

Ritesh: anjie, what… what are you doing her

The reporters all looked at her wondering what was going on, it was such a big scoop

Anjili proceeded to him and stood in front of him

Reporter: mam who are you

Anjili: (looked back at the reporter and smiled) I am Anjili Raizada, Arnav singh Raizada’s sister and Ritessh’s wife (she said proudly)

Ritesh was startled and shocked and had no idea whaat to say, they were divorced so why was she calling herself his wife, and more importantly what was she doing here, when the reporters herd this news they all gasped for breath there was a soft murmur that spread through the room, and then another reporter asked

Reporter:  this means Ritesh sir and Arnav sir are brother in laws

Anjili smiled and nodded, and then she clung on to ritesh’s shoulder and then ritesh whispered in her ear

Ritesh: what are you doing here and whats going on

Anjili turned towards him and then she looked into his eyes and then with out caring about who is around and who isnt she asked him up front and directly

Anjili: if I come back to you, do you promise never to fight with me

He looked into her eyes he saw that glow, he too stopped caring who was around a soft breeze blew inside the room and he smiled as he held her hand in his and then he said

Ritesh: yes, i promise never to fight with you

Anjili: but what if we don’t agree of something and reach an impasse

Ritesh: if we do then I promise to make up with you by making loads and loads of cheese cake for you

Anjili left out a chuckle there was silence in the room, the meddling reporters mellowed down as they saw the love couple, confess to each other, everyone had smiles on their face Anjili proceeded to talk

Anjili: and what if I get bored of cheese cake then

Ritesh: (smirked) how does brownie sound

Anjili: (smiled back and said) that’s perfect (she took a pause and then said) I love you

Ritesh: (smiled back at her and took her in his arms and then said) I love you too

The camera broad casted the confession tv and the whole world saw Anjili and ritesh and their love, arnav and khushi sat next to each other cuddled in a nice warm bundle on a couch in front of tv television, both of them had smiles on their face and then khushi said

Khushi: finally di got her happy ending

Arnav: more like happy beginning

They were both very happy that they were able to bring back the two lovers together, 

Chapter 89--- my dog and me

It was around 10 o clock when arnav and khushi got up from bed, after another one of their love making encounters and some snoozing they finally decided to get up and start the day, as khushi made her way to the kitchen, arnav wore his purple sweat shirt and jeans and headed off to naina’s room, as he entered, he opened the curtains she was still in bed, the sunlight came shining in and he turned to look at his darling daughter who was cuddled up in the blanket, he smiled and then sat on the bed and caressed her face, as he did that he felt some movement, and shifted the blanket and to his surprise he saw dim sum was underneath the blanket and naina was cuddling him, he smirked and picked dim sum up and said

Arnav: what are you doing here (he placed him on the floor, and dim sum looked back at him innocently)

Arnav continued to wake naina up and as she felt her fathers, strong hands on her face she smiled and said

Naina: good morning daddy (she got up and sat on the bed and rubbed her eyes )

Arnav: hi princess what was dim sum doing in your bed

Naina: (in a sleepy voice replied) oh daddy, he was lonely in his basket and so I brought him on my bed,

Arnav shrugged and then said

Arnav: ok fine, come on down mom’s made some waffles for you, and bring dim sum too, he needs breakfast,

Naina smiled at her father and then jumped of her bed, dim sum barked and naina said

Naina: come on dim sum, come lets go down come (she called out in a baby voice, and dim sum gave a cute puppy bark)

The three of them went down to the kitchen where khushi was making breakfast, naina came and placed dim sums  bowl out and then khushi helped her pour some dog food in the bowl, she poured some water as well, and then naina sat on the table and enjoyed her waffles and maple syrup while arnav sipped his coffee,

After breakfast both naina and dim sum went out in the garden to play catch with some toys, naina threw the ball and dim sum ran to catch it, she would squeal in delight when he would retrieve the ball back to her, arnav and khushi watched them and were happy, seeing their daughter so happy, khushi said

Khushi: its been only a day since you bought him home and she and he have become inspirable

Arnav : (chuckled) I am glad that she is happy, it was worth it all I wanted was this million dollar smile of hers

Khushi smiled back at him feeling happy, they continued to watch naina and dim sum play with each other, the whole day pasted by like this, and now it was 7 pm, and it was time for them to come in, and both of them were so dirty because they played in the mud all day, as soon as naina came in, khushi said

Khushi: omg you two are so dirty and messy, you need a bath,

Naina: ok mom (she was about to run when khushi stopped her)

Khushi: not so fast, naina dim sum is your puppy, so after you have a bath, you need to make sure that he has a bath too, this is your responsibility

Naina: ok mom, but dim sum doesn’t know how to have a bath (she said innocently)

Khushi: (smiled back at her and said) yes I know sweet heart, that’s why you have to give him a bath, every week it is your responsibility to give him a bath, today I will help you and show you how to do it, and then tomorrow on wards its you job

Naina smiled and agreed, she went up to have a bath, mean while khushi got out the wooden tub and filled it with water, naina came running down, then khushi thought her how to take care of dim sum

Khushi: (picked dim sum up and placed him in the tub) see you have to put him in the tub like this

Naina: ok (she said as she saw dim sum squirm she said) but mom, dim sum doesn’t like it,

Khushi: all dogs don’t like this sweetie but they have to be clean, and it is our job to make sure of that, even if they don’t like it, other wise they can fall sick

Naina: (worried) I don’t want dim sum to fall sick

Khushi: then you have to make sure you give him a bath at least once or twice a week

Naina nodded and paid attention as khushi explained she then saw khushi remove dim sum and apply some soap over his body, as she rubbed the soap it created lather, then she placed him back into the tub and then removed the soap and dim sum was nice and clean, naina squealed in excitement again

Naina: wow dim sum is nice and sparkly again

Khushi smiled at her, and said

Khushi: yes, he is, but now we have to dry him, or else he will catch a cold, come on put on the hair dryer and bring the towel

Naina did as her mother told her too, and then they began to dry dim sum, once that was all done she and dim sum went running to arnav to tell him the news

Arnav was in the study finishing off some of his work, when naina entered and dim sum ran behind her, she reached his desk and then said

Naina: daddy, look, look

Arnav looked at her and wondered what she was happened

Naina: daddy, I gave dim sum a bath, mom thought me how to do it, doesn’t he look nice and shinny

Arnav: (smiled at his daughter and her antics he picked her up and placed her on his lap and then said) wow princess that’s nice (he kissed her cheeks)

Khushi came in to tell them that dinner was served, and then they went to have a nice cozy meal in their living room,

Once they had dinner naina headed to her room, she was watching cartoons with dim sum when she didn’t realize that she had fallen asleep, dim sum also went to sleep with her on the bed, arnav walked in at his usual time to check on her and found her asleep, he smiled and shut the tv and then placed a kiss on her fore head, he again found dim sum on her bed, he was going to pick him up and put him the basket when he saw naina had fastened her arms around his body, not having the heart to keep him away from her, he let them both sleep together, and went away to khushi

Arnav entered his room and came to his wife as he cuddled in her arms they lazily spoke to each other and then arnav said

Arnav: khush may be we should see di tomorrow, after all tomorrow is her last day to decided on what she wants to do,

Khushi: ya arnav that’s a great idea, its best you talk to her and see what she wants I hope she doesn’t make a haste decision

Arnav: tomorrow is Sunday, I’ll tell nani that we will come over for lunch and then at the right time I will ask di

Khushi agreed,  

Chapter 88 I love you

As they entered home, naina took dim sum to her room, khushi and arnav got all the stuff out, arnav placed the kennel in the back yard, and the leash next to it, an excited naina insisted that dim sum should sleep in her room, on the floor, khushi had an old basket she brought it out, it was big, she placed the blanket and the pillow in the basket for dim sums bedding, she then sorted his eating bowl, while naina played with her new best friend her puppy,

It was late and she was tired and as usual arnav went in to tuck her to bed, she was sitting in a purple night gown, and playing with dim sum when arnav entered and said

Arnav: come on off to bed its bed time

Naina: (made a face) oh daddy please just 5 minutes more

Arnav: no sweet heart come on, its already 11, way past your bed time, and besides dim sum also must be tired,

Naina looked at him, he did look a bit tired, and she knew her dad was right it was past her bed time, so she nodded, and arnav picked dim sum up and placed him in his basket, then he tucked naina in and kissed her fore head and said in a loving voice

Arnav: good night princess

Naina: good night daddy

He adjusted the air condition and then shut the light leaving  one small light on, so that naina doesn’t get scared, and then left to go to his room,

As he entered his room, he found his wife who was curled up in her blanket and was waiting for him, she wore a pink chemise night gown and was looking as sexy as ever, he pulled off his tee shirt and slipped on his tracks and then got into bed to cuddle up with her, as he got in to the bed, she smiled aand got up from her little layer of warmth and placed herself on to his lap, her face was facing him, and she started to kiss him on his chest, inhaling his manly musky scent, she placed soft butterfly kisses on him, and arnav seemed to enjoy it, although he was surprised she never usually started it unless there was a strong reason for her too, it was always him who would make the first move, but today it was different and so he asked

Arnav: (with a smirk on his face and a soft husky voice he asked) khush

Khushi stopped but didn’t look up she hmmed on his chest,

Arnav: how come your starting today, usually I always start, you only do it when you are angry or when your upset, (he asked)  

Khushi looked up and him, and then slapped his chest playfully and then said in a sexy voice

Khushi: arnav I am just very happy today, and so I wanted to show you how happy I am

Arnav: (lifted his eye brow and then said) oh and love why are you so happy today

Khushi: (smiled and said) just I don’t know I am just happy, and any way, i don’t need a reason to love my HUSBAND he is MINE I can love him any time and any where I want (she said with authority)

Arnav chuckled at his wife, and then smiled and she smiled back and then continued, she started to first kiss his lips. Arnav: (smiled back at her and then said) I love you too, (he removed himself from her and then kissed her lips as he came crashing on top of her, they made out all night and he left love bites all over her it was truly a divine night)

 say hello to Dim Sum

Chapter 87--- say hello to my puppy

Naina came running down, khushi carried her, all three of them sat in the car and arnav drove down to one of London’s finest pest store, all throughout the ride naina asked

Naina: where are we going?

Arnav: it’s a surprise

Naina: will I like the surprise

Khushi: yes you will

As soon as they reached the pet store khushi carried naina inside the store, arnav followed them, naina saw lots of animals from dogs to cats to parrots fishes, birds, turtles, she looked confused, and then asked

Naina: why are we here daddy

Arnav: well princess we are here because I am getting you a dog so that you have some one to play with

Naina: (eyes widened with glee and a smile broke on her face and then she asked) I am getting a doggy,

Khushi: yes you are, your dad and I think that it would be nice for you to have a dog, you can play with him all day long

Naina smiled with glee, a women came towards them, and asked

Lady: mr raizada, I am renne you spoke to me earlier about a puppy

Arnav: yes, hi I want a tea cup puppy for my daughter,

Lady: certainly sir, please follow me

They walked into  the corner of the room, there was a grilled partition and a door, inside the grilled room, there were small little tea cup puppies, who were tinny and adorable, there were so many varieties from yokkies to poodles, they looked nice and furry and extremely soft  and playful as they ran around the den, barking in a baby bark 

Lady: sir, these are the puppies,

Arnav: great, (he turned to naina and said) baby which one do you like

Naina: I don’t know daddy they all look so cute

Lady: sir if you don’t mind, can I suggest something

Khushi: yes (she smiled)

Lady: well the best way to choose is to leave your daughter  inside the den with the puppies, they are friendly you see, and the one which is friendliest with her is the one that you should buy

Khushi: what a splendid idea

Arnav: princess do you want to spend time with them

Naina nodded happily, the lady opened the door and took her inside and placed her down, all the puppies in the den came running to her, all excited and friendly, at first she was scared, but khushi put naina’s hand out to the puppies nose and they sniffed it, slowly she touched them and petted them,  all the puppies were very nice, they were all around her, as she picked them up and played with them, suddenly she felt a tickle on her foot, she looked towards the spot on her feet and saw there was one puppy who was trying to catch her attention, he was a white color yorkie puppy, he looked so adorable, naina petted him and he came forward, she nuzzled his head and he seemed to enjoy it, she was smiling away, and then khushi said

Khushi: baby I think he likes you

Naina: I like him too, he is sooo cute

Arnav: so do you want to get him

Naina nodded with a smile and arnav turned to the lady

Arnav: that one there, that’s the one we one we would like to buy

Lady: excellent choice sir, (she smiled)

She went into the den and picked up the puppy and brought it out, naina and khushi followed, they went to the other side of the shop where there were required items that they needed for the puppy, they bought an eating and drink bowls, a blue and purple chewy toy, a nice warm pillow and blanket, a blue color kennel, and leash

Lady: sir I will give you a license and a registered collar for the dog, in case it gets lost for future references

Arnav: yes that would be useful,

Lady: you will have to fill these forms out, and please tell me what color would you like the collar

Naina: blue

The lady smiled and handed khushi the form, and she started filling, when she came to the last question she asked

Khushi: all the forms are filled only one question I haven’t answered,

Arnav: and whats that

Khushi: well what do you want to name him

Arnav: (looked at naina) well princess its your puppy so what do you want to name him

Naina looked at the puppy and the first thing that came to her mind was what she ate two days ago at  a restaurant, she didn’t know the name, so she said

Naina: mom, that day when we were eating at the Chinese restaurant what was it called

Khushi and arnav looked confused

Khushi: baby what are you talking about which restaurant

Naina: that Chinese one, we had a white color round ball, it came in a basket and it was stuffed with vegetables

Khushi: dim sums

Naina: ya that I want to name him that

khushi: what but why

Naina: because he is white and round that’s why (she said cutely)

Arnav khushi and the lady laughed and then arnav said

Arnav: I think it’s a nice name, dim sum

Khushi smiled and wrote it down, they handed the forms to the lady and she took it to the person who makes the collars,

Naina hugged khushi and then said in a cute baby voice

Naina: thanks you mom, (she kissed her cheek)

She then went and hugged arnav tightly and kissed him too with the biggest smile on her lips she said

Naina: I love you daddy you’re the best thank you so much

say hello to dim sum 

Arnav kissed her back and held her in his arms as he felt so happy seeing his daughter happy, she truly was his angle, the person came out with the collar and naina slipped it on to dim sum, and then they all went home

Chapter 86--- a strong bond

 As soon as arnav came home he saw his wife was in the balcony watering the creepers which were growing wild and long, he kept his bag down and placed his keys and wallet on the kitchen counter and went out to cuddle his sweet kinky little angel into his arms, he came and hugged her from behind and rested his head on her shoulders and had a tight grip around her waist, she smiled and said

Khushi: hi, your back home

Arnav: well ya, you see my wife told me to come home early, and I didn’t want to disobey her

Khushi: (smiled) that’s a nice husband so how was your day

Arnav: well, it was ok, meeting checks and lots of coffee, anyway you tell me how was your day, and how your lunch with di was, did you find out anything

Khushi: (jumped in his arms and turned around to face him as she gave him the biggest smile possible she said) OMG Arnav what a day, you will not believe what happened

Arnav: (curious) well what happened tell me

She held his hands an took him to the couch as she removed his coat she made herself comfortable in his arms and then rested her head on his chest, and then began telling him what happened between di and ritesh, arnav listened to each and everything that she said, and he was more than happy hearing that his di’s life was progressing to become much better, khushi told him that she was unstable and he was well aware of why she was, he knew it would take time but eventually she will come around the only thing he didn’t like was nani setting her up with other men, the thing is he knew that his sister would be safe and loved with ritesh in the past when they fought he knew what happened wasn’t right and it was both parties fault, but in spite of their constant bickering he still made sure she was safe and protected, that why he was so keen on ritesh and di getting back together he didn’t want another man to enter her life because he would be constantly worried for his sister, so he decided to tell nani to stop it

Khushi cuddled deep into his chest and laid there, making herself warm, he looked down at her and kissed her fore head, and then he said

Arnav: so looks like our plans worked,

Khushi: yes it did, (she paused and then said) arnav there is one more thing that di said that I didn’t etll you

Arnav: (curious) and whats that

Khushi: well you see the thing is she asked me about our love story, and about how we got close and I told her that it was because of the Barbados trip that we got close, and then she told me that it was her idea to send us like that, and it was all a set up,

Arnav: (smiled at her and said) so it was di’s plan to send us so we get close to each other,

Khushi: ya it was,

Arnav: khush I already knew about it

Khushi: what you knew (shocked)

Arnav: yes off corse, I understood her plan as soon as we came back, when she started to nk towards you to see what I thought, and I was going to ask her when I connected the dots,

Khushi: meaning

Arnav: well you see when the news came out that we were at a night club together, there was a gossip in town off who your were, and what connection I had to you, and that made me angry as at that time I never really expressed my feelings towards you fully, then when we had that meeting in which we decided the solution to the problem I asked aman and he suggested that we go out of London for a few days, di conveniently suggested that we go to Barbados knowing that the house is secluded and empty and that we would get time to be alone as a family, I was too upset over the hype that I agreed without thinking, although in my mind I knew that it would be good to directly talk to the press I still agreed,

Khushi: why did you agree

Arnav: mamy be deep down I wanted to be with you and naina alone

Khushi smiled and arnav continued 

Arnav: I remembered how di called you up and told you my favorite food, and you cooked it for me she knew well that it would impress me,  di knew well how to get us close and she did, I double checked and asked aman and then he confirmed that ity was all di’s plot

Khushi: wow mr raizada I am impressed (she giggled)

Arnav: khush I know my sister back and forth trust me I know she will say yes eventually, the only thing that we have to make sure now is to tell nani to back off,

Khushi: well yes, I agree,

They both laughed and talked for a while and then suddenly the door bell rang, khushi got up to open the door, naina was back from her classes, she ran inside to meet her parents, as she came she saw her father, she put her bag down and came to sit on his lap and khushi joint them

Naina: hi daddy

Arnav: (kissed her cheek and said) hi princess, so how was your first day in school

Naina: it was great, our teacher miss Lilly is so nice, you know she gave us all gold stars in our note books,

They all chatted and had fun with naina, then naina asked

Naina nodded and khushi looked confused,

Arnav: ok so I have something for you, quickly go up change your clothes and wear your shoes

Naina: why daddy where are we going

Arnav: it’s a surprise, go on hurry up

Naina ran to do as her father said and then khushi looked at him confused and asked

Khushi: arnav where are we going and what solution do you have

Arnav: khush, the thing is that I am thinking of buying her a puppy, this way she will be happy, she will have some one to play with, it will be nice for her

Khushi: a puppy are you serious (she looked shocked)

Arnav: ya why, aren’t you happy

Khushi: oh I am happy, I love dogs but I thought you hate them, I mean you don’t exactly seem like an animal fellow

Arnav: (chuckled and said) well yes, I don’t like animal,s but when we were little I remembered we had a puppy, di and I would play with him for hours and hours, I remembered how much fun  we use to have his name was sunshine, (he smiled)

Khushi: (looked interested) then what happened,

Arnav: well then, he died, he got bit by another dog and got rabies, after that I have hated pets because they make a mess and slobber but I know naina would love this and for her I think I can compromise,

Khushi: (smiled and hugged him tight and kissed his cheek) you really have changed, you would do all this for her

Arnav: off corse khush, she is my princess, as soon as that kid called me dad, she has been the most important thing to me, and her happiness comes first

Khushi was soo touched at this, she could see and feel their bond, it was amazing how someone who could be so heartless can be soft from within as well, to the world he was the most ruthless business tycoon who has power and money, but to his family he was a soft hearted gooey arnav who was willing to scarifies his needs to make his family so happy, she was truly happy and blessed that such a man walked into her life, and what was more surprising is that , this bond that he shared with naina, in todays world who would do something like this for an adopted daughter, not even once did arnav ever make naina feel like she was adopted, he always considered her as his own flesh and blood, 

Chapter 85--- the lunch conversation

They reached royal china both sister in laws were having a warm conversation, anjili and khushi gre very close apart from being sister in laws they were good friends and would often share the happenings in their lives with each other, arnav was one lucky man to have his sister and wife get along so well,

As they indulged in a steaming hot basket of dumplings they spoke freely with each other

Anjili: so khushi, hows things going,

Khushi: good di, actually great,

Anjili: good I am glad, khushi I am so happy that chottey has become warm hearted again, he has changed only because of you

Khushi: di, he is aa really nice husband, I always thank devi maya for him, he is all I have I love him a lot, and I know he loves me too,

Anjili smiled and then khushi said

Khushi: di if you don’t mind me asking you something

Anjili: what khushi

Khushi: di how come you nd ritesh jijaji are meeting so often, I mean I don’t mean to pry but arnav and I were just wondering (she said in a normal casual voice)

Anjili: (a bit hesitant said) oh well, you know we are friends and were catching up after so long that’s all (she blushed)

Khushi: (smiling) hmm di are you sure (she lifted her eye brow)

Anjili: (a bit nervous) well ya I mean, we are just good friends

Khushi: then why are you blushing

Anjili started to get nervous again, as she fiddled with the chopsticks and khushi enjoyed her discomfort then khushi took the chopstick from her hand, she held it across the table and said in a loving tone

Khushi: di, you know what you can tell me anything, I mean we are just not sister in laws but friends

Anjili smiled at khushi’s genuine behavior and then khushi said

Khushi: so di would you like to share your thoughts with me

Anjili: (paused for a minute, thought for two seconds and then said) well khushi, there is something

As soon as khushi heard that, the spirit in her started to gear up, she was now exited, Anjili on the other hand had butterflies in her stomach but she decided to tell khushi, she needed to talk to some one and who better than khushi who was so understanding and thoughtful

Anjili: well you know it all started on the day we bumped into each other at the marine plaza on that night

Khushi: on the day you two got stuck in the lift

Anjili: ya, when we were stuck in that lift both of us were so scared, but I guess we pulled through it with each other, that day we had a really meaningful conversation, we hadn’t spoken like that ever since we got divorced, and truth to be told khushi I am glad we did, because after that we decided to be friends, and then from there on we spoke to each other every night and all the time sometimes he would whatsapp me or I would test him,

Khushi: wow did that’s great

Anjili: (smiled) yes it is, you know I am surprised he has changed a bit, you know he knows how to cook, and not just ordinary cooking fine dine cooking, he makes the best orange chocolate cake,

Khushi: yum that sounds interesting

Anjili: ya I know, every night we would meet for coffee at Al’s when you and chottey had gone for holiday, and trust me it was great, we would talk for hours on all sorts of things, It was truly fun, we didn’t realize that we were even divorced 

Khushi continued to listen and Anjili said

Anjili: then that night when we bumped into you and chottey, something happened

Anjili: well when chottey said that if we were thinking of reconciling then both ritesh and I felt akward because we had spoken about everything but that, and then when he dropped me home he said something which is the biggest turning point in my life

Anjili: well he told me that I should take my time and answer him on Monday, khushi the thing is that I am also happy that he has decided to reconcile but I am a bit scared (she said worried)

Khushi: why di, ritesh seems so nice, I think he is perfect for you

Anjili: ya I know but I am worried what if things sont work out, what if again we start fighting I don’t want to end this badly

Khushi: (took a deep breath and then said) di honestly I think whatever is happening is happening for the best, i think this is an opportunity for you to settle back in life, di be positive I think it will all work out and you should say yes

Anjili: khushi I don’t know, lets see, like I said I need time, and then there is this other thing bothering me

Anjili: well nani is trying hard to set me up with other business men in London, she is trying hard to find me someone else and I am not keen on that, i know she means well but still its making it hard for me to decide

Khushi: di forget about everything, I’ll tell you something just do what ever your heart decides trust me, I know the heart is always right,

Anjili: khushi can I ask you something if you don’t mind

Khushi: yes di sure you can ask me anything

Anjili: how did you know chottey was the man you wanted to marry, I mean when he proposed how ddi you react

Khushi: (smiled and had a flash back off when arnav proposed) well di to be honest, arnav and I always had a connection, when ever we would come close to each other our hearts would start beating faster and faster, at first I thought it was acidity

Anjili: (burst out laughing) are you serious

Khushi: (blushed) ya how did I know it was love, I was so new to it, but then when we spend time in Barbados we grew closer and closer and that’s what made me realize that I love him, in fact we confessed to each other when we were drunk, and then a month later when he proposed to me I knew at that time only that this was right, my gut feeling told me to just take the leap, and I did things worked so nice for both of us, in fact for all three of us

Anjili: so that means my little Barbados set up worked ha

Khushi: what do you mean?

Anjili: well  khushi you know it was mine and nk’s idea to set you two up, I remember that the day you came for the charity function, at that time only I realized you 2 had a connection, and I knew you needed time alone so nk and I decided to take advantage of the news paper scam and sent you to Barbados

Khushi: (stunned and shocked) are you serious di

Anjilil nodded and then khushi said

Anjili smiled at her, then khushi tried to convince Anjili that saying yes to ritesh was the right thing to do,

chapter 84--- after effects

Anjili woke up from bed with a glint of sparkle in her eye, her face glowed, maybe it was because of the radiant morning sun, or because of last night, s a flash back of the conversation with ritesh replayed in her mind, her smile grew wider and wider, and her heart started to beat, but yet again her head battled with her and said that be careful, make sure that what your doing is right, with that she sighed and got out bed and went to brush her teeth,

Downstairs in the hall, nani and payal were sitting and enjoying a nice cup of hot tea, payal was a month pregnant, her face glowed and glistened as she was stepping into mother hood, akash too was a much happier man, he was always a soft spoken and cheerful fellow, but ever since he and payal took the decision of being parents, he has become more of an outgoing and 100 times more happier person,

Nani was happy to see her grand children so happy, with khushi and naina entering her chotteys life she could see the steely business man in him started to become soft and understanding, and with akash and payal, having their child she could see akash becoming more open and spending time with his wife, the only worry in her mind was her granddaughter Anjili, she wanted Anjili to settle down again and have a family of her own, she just wanted to see her happily settled down, she did talk to Anjili about settling with a new man but Anjili wasn’t keen on it, never the less she still never gave up and kept trying to persuade her to meet different men so she could find a suitable match,

Anjili came down the marble stair case wearing a yellow long dresses, she looked as good as the summer sun, with the smile un vanished she proceeded to the hall where she found payal and nani sitting,

Anjili: good morning nani,

Nani: good morning betiya,

Anjili: hi payal, how are you today

Payal: I am fine di

Anjili: and how is my little nephew

Payal: (blushed) he is fine di

They indulged in a conversation, and then nani said

Nani: Anjili I heard rajiv sengupta is in town, you know him right

Anjili: yes nani do, he was with me in university, we had the same group of friends

Nani: yes why don’t you catch up with him, I am sure you have lots to talk about, it’ll be nice for you to go out and meet people,

Anjili: (reluctantly nodding knowing what her grandmother is doing) yes

Nani: why don’t you go today, it will be nice you can go out for a nice lunch

Anjili: oh sorry nani not today, you see khushi and I are out for lunch, we planned this a week ago, infact payal is also coming with us,

Payal: oh sorry di, I am going to have to bail today, I spoke to khushi, you see akash and I have to go to the doctor for a check up, but I will catch up for some coffee

Anjili: ok payal, (she smiled)

Nani: but why don’t you go for lunch with him today, you can go with khushi betiya tomorrow

Anjili: (a bit skeptical) nani I appreciate what you are doing but please let me do what I am comfortable doing,

Nani: I only want you to be happy betiya

Anjili: I know but don’t worry soon everything will be fine,

Saying that she got up from the couch and went out, it was already 1:15 and she was to meet khushi at royal china at 2

Khushi had a smile on her face she truly enjoyed the morning well, arnav really knew how too make her happy,  with that thought she went to sit on her dressing table and put on her daily make up so she could leave to meet her sister in law 

Chapter 83--- the morning encounter

Early morning khushi was running helter scelter it was the first day of school, naina was going 2 the second grade she was soo excited she was going to be a senior in her school well not that senior but the fact that she was going to the next grade made her feel so authoritative, kids they can be so adorable!!, she was sipping her chocolate milk and khushi was packing her lunch, arnav had just come from his daily jog, he sat on the chair and was drinking an ice chilled glass of water when he saw an excited naina gulp her milk down she started to cough he stopped drinking and patted her back to stop the coughing and then he said to her

Arnav: drink slowly baby whats the hurry

Naina: sorry daddy, I wanted finish fast I don’t want to be late on my first day, u know I am going to the second grade (she said proudly)

Arnav: (chuckled) wow that’s nice, so you’ve become a big girl (he said with a smirk)

Naina: yes I have,  (she said with a smile) daddy what happened about my wish you promised me

arnav:  what wish baby, has it been possible that I haven’t fulfilled any of your wishes, tell me again what was it (he said having a sip of his water)

khushi who was cooking heard their conversation and looked up to see what they were talking about as naina spoke

naina: remember the one we made in the car, the one where I told you that I want a baby brother (she said reminding him)

arnav who had water in his mouth spat it out, and khushi’s eyes widened with shock, both looked at each other a bit embarrassed and nervous not knowing how to handle the situation, naina looked back with her 2 brown innocent eyes and said in a cute tone

naina: I want a baby brother, so I can play with him, I am getting older and need someone to play with, you promised me please can you get me a baby brother,

arnav and khushi both looked back at each other still quite not knowing what to answer,  naina again said with pleading eyes

naina: ha can you please get me a brother, I really want one, and then I will be like Anjili bua and he will be like you, it would be so cool,

arnav: (head spinning, trying to make her stop, khushi too, he said) ok baby we will think about it,

khushi: ya naina sweet heart come on hurry up you don’t want to be late for school do you its your first day,

naina: (remembering about her school said) oh ya, I forgot thanks mom for reminding me, (she picked her school bag, and ran out to go to school)

after she left there was absolute silence between both of them, it was a bit awkward for both of them, they had spoken about it before and arnav knew khushi wanted another child, but not so soon, it was too quick for them to have another child they had just gotten married and he wanted to spend some more alone time with her, finally khushi broke the silence she too was thinking on the subject

khushi: arnav, you…. (she hesitated to talk took a deep breath and then said) you promised her for a brother

arnav: (in a husky voice) ya I did,

she looked back at him, she thought he wanted a child too, she never said anything, he wanted to clarify with her, and so he said

arnav: khush, I promised her but… (he paused ) but I don’t want another baby

khushi looked up at him shocked, he noticed her reaction and then he slowed down, he sat her down  and then took her hand in his he took a deep breath and then he said

arnav: I am not saying I don’t want one more child at all, I want another kid, I just don’t want it now

khushi: (let out a deep sigh of relief and then looked back at him and said) me too, I don’t want another child now,

arnav: (also eased off a bit, and then he said) thank god I though you wanted one and so I was really worried, I want to spend time with you, and have some more crazy kinky love sex with you

khushi: (blushed and then said) arnav lets not plan this kid, let it just come to us like a surprise, it’ll be fun

arnav: ya that sounds like a good idea, lets do that (he said with a sparkle in his eye)

Arnav: what the!! I was just trying to find out what was going on (he laughed)

Khushi: (hitting him) ya ya I know, you were having fun, pulling their legs weren’t you,

Arnav: ok I admit I was, honestly I decided to do it on purpose so I know exactly whats happening between them

Khushi: hmm, but its good, that they are meeting, di looked so happy today she was glowing

Arnav: you mean blushing

They started to giggle again, it was not like they were being mean or anything they were just having some minor fun that’s all, but at least now arnav knows whats going on, and he was happy and content with progress in anjili’s life and he knew very soon this “GOOD FRIENDS” tag will go and they will realize what they feel for each other, with that thought both arnav and khushi crashed to sleep

Meanwhile in the car both Anjili and ritesh were horrified by what happened,  there was silence in the car, as both had witnessed the shock of being caught, Anjili was a bit embarrassed and said

Anjili: ritesh I am sorry, my brother he asked you directly about us,

Ritesh: oh so now he is only your brother

Anjili: (confused) meaning

Ritesh: Anjili I agree that we were married but I still consider arnav as my brother, so relax

Anjili smiled liking what she had just heard and relaxed a bit, the atmosphere lightened and things became normal, they spoke about some silly stuff then Anjili said

Anjili: ya but that was close

Ritesh: ya that was

Anjili: thank god you cleared that we are just good friends

Ritesh: hmm (he paused and then said) but anj

Anjili: hmm

Ritesh: what if we were to say be more than just friends

Anjili’s eyes widened with shock and she looked at him, and said

Anjili: more than friends

Ritesh: ya look I mean,  lets face it we both know that we still love each other a lot so the why no we try to give another shot

Anjili: (looked down and said in a low voice) I don’t know rits the thing is what if it doesn’t work out again then what, you know how sad I was I am not ready to go back to the fighting and crying and things like that, its just horrible (she voiced her heart)

Ritesh: (took a deep breath and said) hmm, but you what (he took, her hand in his and covered it and said) I am willing to give it a chance and I am willing to take the risk, the question is are you ??

Anjili remained silent and didn’t say anything he knew she needed time to think and so he said

Ritesh: I know its too quick to quick to decide but think about it, I am going to Glasgow for the week end take your time don’t tell me now, when I am back you can tell me,

Anjili nodded her head, said good bye and then left

Both the lovers had a lot to think about, and a lot to work on to bring their broken heart back together as one, ritesh seemed adamant on doing whatever it takes to bring her back, it was Anjili who was scared and nervous, which was acceptable and understandable, after all she did have her heart broken the first time and this pain was not of an easy measure, it was the toughest pain any human could go through, she had a lot of thinking to do over this topic, she was glad for one that ritesh had given her time to think and understand the situation, she sat on her bed and thought over how they started their relationship and how they were so happy,

Meanwhile arnav had instructed khushi and told her that she should personally talk to Anjili on this matter, he knew that she wouldn’t open up to him on this topic as she was shy but to khushi she may speak too, that’s why today khushi had decided to fix a lunch plan with Anjili so that she would understand what she feels and thinks on the relationship, 

Chapter 81--- we are just good friends

The rest of the trip went of well as they shopped and had fun, and spent loads of time on the beach, naina got busy with building her sand castle her new improved version, arnav and khushi sat on the patio to chill all day in the warm atmosphere of the beach, and at night they would do what every couple in love would do, they would make love to each other, it was truly a good holiday for all of them, but like good things have to come to an end this one also ended, they had to be back in London because school starts on Monday, and hence they returned for their 2 week holiday

There was a bit of progress in anjili’s life as well, she started to loosen up and feel comfortable around ritesh, it felt nice it felt like a burden was off her shoulders, ritesh and Anjili would talk on the phone for hours they would meet for coffee go out for ice cream, they grew close to each other once again, and this put a smile on anjili’s face, even though they use to hang out every day they still claimed to be “just friends” Anjili never wanted to tell anyone anything about her and ritesh becoming close again, she wasn’t sure herself of what was going on,

It was a typical Friday night and Anjili and ritesh had decided to meet at a coffee shop for coffee and desert, this particular coffee shop was owned by AL, it was a famous place that had Spanish coffees and Anjili loved to drink good Spanish coffee so they decided to meet there, that was their new hangout place, but neither of them realized that this particular coffee shop was right next to arnav and khushi’s house, for so many day arnav and khushi were out of town and so the thought of bumping into them at the coffee shop didn’t strike Anjili or ritesh, and on that Friday night without realizing that arnav is back they met at the same place, 

As they walked into the place they went and sat at their regular spot by the corner on the couch, ritesh ordered to Spanish coffees and some hot chocolate cake, and they began chatting

Meanwhile arnav and khushi had reached London on Friday in the evening, a sleepy naina ate her dinner and went to bed, she was tired from all the traveling, arnav was on his laptop and khushi got on to organize the washed and dried clothes, it was around 10 pm when arnav had finished his work and came in the see his wife working, he hugged her from behind and kissed her cheeks and she smiled and said

Khushi: you finished your work

Arnav: yeah just now

Khushi: arnav I am hungry

Arnav: when are you not

Khushi: no really I am hungry, I feel like eating cake

Arnav chuckled at his wife and her food cravings, and then he said

Arnav: lets go down to Al’s and get cake I don’t mind having some coffee as well

Khushi smiled, they locked the house as naina was alone and then they went down for a quick cup of coffee and a slice or warm cake,

When they entered arnav told khushi to grab a spot till he gets the coffees, khushi walked to the corner and was surprised to see Anjili was sitting on the couch and not alone surprisingly with ritesh, her eyes sparkled as she walked up to say hello to her sister in law and her ex husband,

As khushi walked up Anjili was a bit shocked she didn’t expect to get caught and so was ritesh , khushi came and hugged her and said

Khushi: hi di

Anjili: (shocked) hi khushi, how are you how was your trip

Khushi: it was good, we had a lot of fun, (she turned to ritesh and then said) hi jiju

Ritesh: hi khushi, what a pleasant surprise to see you here, are you alone or…

Khushi: arnav is here, we felt like having coffee and cake so we came down,

Ritesh: oh that’s nice 

Arnav came up to where khushi was sitting and as he walked he saw his sister and ritesh, and khushi with them, he too was shocked but from inside he was very happy, he walked up to Anjili and hugged her

Arnav: jiju, di, how nice to see you here,  

Anjili: hi chottey, how was your holiday and how is naina (she tried to divert the attaintion)

Arnav: (smirking) holiday was good di, and naina is fine she enjoyed herself, but di, how come you and jiju are here together??

Anjili started to hesitate and ritesh too was embarrassed on being caught but then he answered

They all sat and had their coffee there was silence and no one spoke a word, arnav was keenly observing his sister and brother in law, khushi on the other hand was trying to control her laughter, arnav decided that he needs to find out whats going on and so he decided to question

Arnav: so jiju, you and di meet often

Ritesh: ya arnav, we do, just for a casual cup of coffee or ice cream

Anjili: (became a bit red and then said) so chottey hows everything else going

There was silence again, Anjili was now fiddling with her coffee cup ritesh tried to make small conversation with khushi and arnav was just sitting back and keenly observing his sister, and the whole situation….

Arnav: di if you and jiju are meeting regularly that means that you two are planning on reconciling (he asked directly)

On hearing this anjili and ritesh were shocked, Anjili knew this was coming she knew her brother will question her every move so be clear, she just didn’t expect it so quickly

Ritesh: uh arnav actually we are just hanging out

Arnav: (raising his eye brows) hanging out

Anjili: ya chottey what is this, we are just good friends who are meeting for coffee where are you dragging this to (she said casually)

Arnav: (now smirking seeing his poor sister fumble and feel shy) good friends oh I see

Khushi tapped arnav to stop and he took her gesture, she knew Anjili was shy and wouldn’t open up, but she did admit that it was hilarious the way arnav had put both his jiju and di under the scanner and the way he questioned them and off corse their silly answers to cover up

They all had their coffee and cake and then bid farewell and headed home, arnav offered to drop Anjili but ritesh stepped in and said that he would do it.. 

chapter 80--- the sweet punishment

the movie got over and naina who was watching away fell asleep on arnavs lap, when the movie ended khushi took naina, to make her sleep, leaving arnav behind in deep thought, when she put naina to sleep she came out and quietly made herself comfortable on the sofa in the living room, she was reading a magazine as arnav just gave her a blank stare trying to figure her out, he decided that it was all crazy and picked up the remote control to watch some tv so he could get his mind off things, but just as he pressed the on button, the tv didn’t switch on, and he wondered why, so he pressed the button again but still no luck, he was getting up to go and check the tv, when he heard a strange noise, and turned around, as he turned towards her he was met with a weird expression, her eyes were shut and her body was arched, he was now concerned he went up to her and asked,

arnav: are you ok (in a deep husky voice)

khushi: (who was in a trance said in a deep passionate voice) are you… uh… sure you have the tv rem… mote

arnav: (looked baffled by her statement) excuse me, what does that have to do with you

khushi: (in a shaky voice) that’s not your tv remote, that remote is for something else

arnav: (raising his eyebrow he said) and what device does this remote belong too

khushi: (untied her robe and fanned it on either side and said in a pleasured voice) this!!

Khushi nodded as the girl got the box out of the storage, she placed the box on the counter and khushi’s eyes widened with shock,

Finally  the sales girl let out a smile, and khushi handed her the credit card, as she punched the numbers in the sales girl said

sG: mam, don’t worry your husband will surely forget about the fight after he sees this

khushi: I sure hope so,

finally leaving the shop, she headed to the arcade with the packet, arnav saw her hold the packet and asked what it was but she brushed it off saying that they were just clothes, it was now 5 and they left the mall to go home, naina had a great day today she shopped for some clothes at her favorite store with her mother, she spent time with her father at the arcade store, it was truly a blissful day,

khushi was quite all through out the car ride back home, and arnav was surprised with this, khushi being quite for a long time is close to impossible, there is defiantly something cooking up in his wifes mind he thought, doubting what she is up to, naina was sitting at the back and was playing with mr frosty, arnav silently drove trying to figure out whats going on, when they reached home, she headed up to the room to open the mystry box, arnav went to his study still thinking,

arnav and khushi had never sat like this before and this was weird for both of them, never before had they sat in the formal way with each other, arnav’s curiosity on his wife’s behavior was increasing more and more and slowly a thought crept up in his head, as he thought was his plan back firing, was khushi upset with him, will he have to find a way to impress her instead of the opposite, whats going on,
