The door bell rang Arnav and Khushi took a deep breath
knowing exactly who it was.
Arnav: its time we should tell her
Khushi nodded and went to open the door. Naina walked it she
was back from school as she came in she greated khushi left her bag on the table
and went to the hall to find Arnav waiting for her on the couch. She smiled and
ran towards him
Naina: hi daddy
Arnav: hey princess
Naina: how come your home
Arnav: oh I didn’t feel like going, anyway princess leave
all that come here sit with your mother and me
He sat her down on the couch in the middle and Khushi went
and sat on the other side Naina looked at them with utmost confusion as to what
is happening for a second she thought she was in trouble and so she asked
Naina: Daddy am I in trouble
Arnav: (smiled) No princess you aren’t your mother and I
would like to say something to you
Naina: (she looked at Khushi and then said) what is it mom
Khushi: (held Arnav’s hand and then said) Baby you remember
you wished for something.
Naina: mom I wish for lots of things
Arnav: princess remember you asked me and your mom for a
baby brother and we got you dim sum instead
Naina: yeah I remember I asked for a brother so I can play
with him. What about it daddy
Arnav and Khsuhi : (took a deep breath and then together
said) Your wish came true
A startled Naina looked confused as hell as to what is going
on .
Naina: yeah I know I got dim sum (she said confused not
understanding)
Arnav: oh princess, Your mother and I are having a baby
Naina’s eyes popped out she looked at him confused for a
second trying to ghasp the situation. Khushi smiled
Khushi: baby I am pregnant, your having a brother or a
sister
And that was it, finally it sunk into her her face changed
from confusion to a smile and she leaped up in excitement and said
Naina: you mean devi maya listened to me
Arnav: yeah I guess she did
Naina: (excited) wow that’s so cool
She hugged Arnav and then Khushi and then said
Naina: thank you so so so much mom and dad you are the best
Arnav and Khushi couldn’t be more happier than this. Seeing
the happiness on Naina’s face was making them more happy. An Excited Naina
asked
Naina: so where is the baby
They stopped and both looked at her and then Khushi said
Khsuhi: in my tummy
Naina: (confused) in your tummy, really but why is it not
coming out doesn’t it want to play with my toys
Arnav: yes off coarse it does and it will, but now it’s
small like a seed and it needs mom to take care of it
Naina: (confused) I can take care of it too, I take care of
dim sum as well
Khushi: baby we know you do, but the baby is very small and
it is like a seed after 9 months it will come out and then you can play with it
as much as you want
Naina: (shocked) 9 months wow that’s almost a year
Arnav: yeah it is but it will get bigger and then you can
play with it when it comes out
Naina: Daddy I have a question though (she asked curiously)
Arnav: what princess
Naina: how did the baby come in moms tummy, from where do
babies come from
Khushi and Arnav looked at each other not knowing what to
answer to her
Naina: tell me know mom where do babies come from (she asked
innocently)
Khushi: (tried to answer) ahh you know na devi maya sends
them down
Arnav: exactly didn’t u pray to ur devi maya for a baby so
she gave it to you.
Naina: yes I did, but daddy I don’t understand why are they
in mom’s tummy
Arnav: princess we just told you na the baby is a small seed
it will grow
Naina: you mean like a plant
Khushi: exactly like a plant, it will grow in my tummy and
then when it is big it will come out
Naina: oh, so you mean devi maya put the baby in your tummy
to grow so you can take care of it
Arnav: yes sweet heart exactly (he said letting a breath
out)
Naina: but daddy wont mom become fat I mean if something
grows in her
Arnav and khushi chuckled at that and then Khushi said
Khushi: yes I will become
fat
Naina: (looked horrified and said) mom no I don’t want you
to become fat
Arnav chuckled further and then caught hold of his daughter
and took her on his lap and then said in a loving tone
Arnav: its only going to be for a few months, after that
when the baby comes mom will become thin
Naina: ur sure na daddy
Khushi: (laughed and said) yeah baby off coarse don’t worry
Naina: but I am still happy I cant wait for my brother to
come
She touched Khushi’s tummy and hugged it tightly Arnav and
Khushi were indeed the most happiest people on the earth and proud parents too
