Chapter 34- preparations

Lavanya was in the bathroom crying her eyes out, when Janis came in to look for her,

Lavanya: go away (she cried)

Janis: La come out

Lavanya slowly made her way out of the bathroom stall as Janis hugged her and comforted her

Janis: la what happened today was very wrong, we were all wrong

Lavanya: Janis I thought that it was all her doing, I never knew he loved her so much

Janis: we all never knew, we were wrong because we forgot that he is our boss, all we could see is tht he was marrying someone like us, which made us all a bit jealous, but la you were his friend I think he expects u to support him

Lavanya: what does he see in her that is not in me, I stayed around for so long and she came only 3 months back, so why is she getting the importance

Janis: maybe he really does love her, has that struck you, it's all destiny, na la it's their fate

Lavanya: maybe you're right Janis

Lavanya realized her mistake and she made her way to his cabin, as she knocked on the door, she saw khushi and him together, arnav was about to yell, when khushi indicated to him to let her in,

Lavanya came in, and stood in front of arnav, who was trying hard to keep his cool, she took a deep breath and started off

Lavanya: ASR I am sorry (she said in a low voice)

Making khushi startled and arnav confused

Lavanya: look I thought maybe she is using you, I never knew you really did love her, its just ASR I thought that there was something between us and I dint like the fact that someone else was with you,

Arnav: (calmed down hearing her apology) Lavanya, this is no excuse, you always knew that I and you were only for the media, I had made this clear to you from the start, I always considered you as a friend and that's it, nothing more than that, or less than that for that matter, and as a friend I expected you to support me, not make a mess of things, if at all I expected you to get close to khushi and help her out (arnav spoke his mind, as Lavanya looked down in shame)

Khushi who was watching the two talk decided that it was time to patch things up between them so she said

Khushi: Lavanya arnav and I actually really love each other, I am not doing this for the money, I genuinely do love him, even if he was poor I would've have still loved him, you and I have always had a problem with each other from the start and I think its time we put it behind us, (she looked at arnav) arnav she said she is sorry, so now spit your anger and patch up na please

Arnav was proud of her that in spite of all this she was ready to accept Lavanya as a friend, this just showed that khushi was a women, with fine qualities that a lady should have, Lavanya on the other hand was shocked that khushi was not only patching up arnav and her relationship but also extending the hand to friendship from her side, and especially after what happened

Lavanya: after all this you want to be my friend but why chamk... I mean khushi

Khushi: (smiled) look I understand what you must be going through, and we did start off on the wrong foot, but we can change that right, Lavanya your ASR's friend and I don't think I want to have any bad relationship with my fiancs friend

Lavanya was impressed she never knew khushi had a big heart and she was very happy with it, so she accepted khushi's friends requests, and just like that khushi and Lavanya started their friendship,

The preparations for the party began, the theme was ball gowns and black ties, arnav asked his designers to design a beautiful looking ball gown for khushi, meanwhile khushi was very busy with the invitations and the party arrangements, it was Thursday afternoon, and the three of them were getting ready to leave to estate, an excited naina was jumping up and down while khushi tried to control her, arnav chuckled all along, as they reached the estate, two huge gates opened up, they drove straight inside and all around was nice soft lushes green grass, as they drove through the stretch they passed several orchids and wine yards, naina and khushi were impressed by what they saw, they reached the house, it was an art deco building, and had beautiful stain glass gothic windows and arches all over, as they entered into the house they were greeted by the head management of the house Samuel, they walked in further and naina ran to her father who picked her up and carried her in she was smiling away in his arms as she said in a bubbly voice

Naina: wow daddy, is this a palace

Arnav: (smiled at his little one) yeah it's a palace, and do you know who the princess of this palace is

Naina: who

Arnav: you

Naina: (her eyes lit up and she smiled) really daddy, I am the princesses of this palace wow (she turned to khushi and said) see mom dad made me the princess of the palace

Khushi: yeah baby I heard, (she said pinching her cheeks)

Arnav put her down as she ran around to see her palace arnav pulled khushi in his arms, as he escorted her in to show her the house, he showed her around in every nook and corner as they laughed and giggled at each other, finally they entered the big huge hall where the party was going to be held, it was a dark room, arnav slowly brought khushi inside and then left her hand for a few seconds, khushi being scared of the dark started panicking

Khushi: (scared) arnav... where are you (she tried to feel him)

Suddenly the lights came on and there right in front of her was the fully decorated hall, which had white marble flooring with beautiful gold drapes all over, there was a small dance floor created with a dj sound system, on the side was a bar which was fully equipped with drinks, he came from behind and slipped his hands around her silky tummy, he placed his head and the crook of her neck and whispered softly

Arnav: (in a husky voice) so how do you like it

Khushi: (excited seeing the hall) arnav its beautiful

Arnav: (kissed her cheek and said) I am glad you like it princess
