Chapter 48--- the wedding

The wedding was 2 days later, the preparations began and khushi and arnav were told to stay away from each other, for post marriage rituals, the boys were told they aren't allowed to enter the mehndi function,  but you know boys will be boys and they were in full swing of gate crashing, the girls were sitting in the lounge khushi was sitting on the couch she looked pretty in a lemon yellow lengha, she was browsing through the mehndi book, when she saw his finger point at one of the design, at first she didn't realize and said in excitement

Khushi: oh ya that's so nice I love this design

As she said it he whispered in her ear in a low husky voice

Arnav: I know it's perfect

She heard his voice and her eyes went big and her mouth dropped down she was about to turn when he said in a low voice

Arnav: no don't turn, they will catch me

She stayed still so no one would catch him and then whispered back

Khushi: why are you here

Arnav: khush I am here to meet you sill (he said stating the obvious point)

Khushi: arnav what if you get caught

Arnav: i don't care I had to see you, by the way you look so pretty

Khushi started blushing away, arnav smiled at her, in the mean time anjili noticed and came and sat next to khushi and asked in an inquisitive manner,

Anjili: khushi why are you blushing

Arnav hid behind the plants

Khushi: (covering up) uh nothing di, nothing,

She blushed more and more, while arnav laughed his heart out on his ever so sweet blushing bride, he then made his exit, his main motive of choosing her design for her mehindi was complete, the mendhi wali started her job and applied the mehndi, the design looked beautiful on her hands and legs, finally when she finished the design she asked the letter that needed to be embedded and khushi chirped in happiness "A" naina was very happy, she applied mehndi on her hand she looked lovely, in a pink chanya  choli,

Once the mendhi was over the haldi began and passed by, anjili and nani were so happy applying haldi on their chotte, now as you know khushi has no family expect naina, so payal and akash decided to be her family, they decided to be on the girls side, akash was very fond of naina and also adored khushi, he treated her like a sister, so khushi was very grateful to him, things were going great…

Finally the day of the wedding had arrived, the grand occasion took place in the raizada estate, there were about  1000 guests at the venue, arnav came with the doli, the band played, and khushi was putting on her jewelry as she heard the band play her heart skipped a beat and she knew he was here, he was here to make her his and only his a smile drew on his lips, in some time and anjili knocked on the door, and payal opened it, as she saw khushi she smiled at her and said with a loving tone

Anjili: my brother is the world's luckiest man in the world

Khushi blushed, and anjili and payal brought her down, as she walked down the stairs she saw arnav sitting on the mandap he was sitting with the pandit and performing the rituals, his eyes lifted to see his bride walk down the stairs, she wa s in a red and gold lengha, and she looked like the world's most prettiest girl in the world, her face looked soft and her cheeks were red, she looked stunning, he couldn't take his eyes off her, as she walked down the stairs the crowed praised her on her beauty, she sat next to arnav and she looked at him, he spoke to her with his eyes and told her how beautiful she looked, khushi too told him how handsome he looked in a white sherwani, the pandit began the mantars,  arnav had quietly held khushi's hand under her dupatta so no one would see, he did this because he wanted to tell her in his own way that he would always hold her hand and be besides her through the very end, finally the pheras began and akash stepped forward to tie the knot, the couple began their vows

Meanwhile while the pheras were going on, little naughty naina was up to no good, you see nk had told naina about the shoe stealing tradition, naina found it exciting, she didn't want to do it for the money, it's just the thrill of stealing arnav's shoe's sounded like a fun idea, and that was not all, nk and she had a bet, so she very quietly took arnav's shoes and hid them in her tinny cloth duppata, nk  cought her and asked

Nk: naina whats in your hand

Nanai: nothing chanchu (she said innocently)

Nk: don't lie,

Nania: nothing chachu, I promise (she pinched her neck)

Nk: hmm ok fine

Nk knew she had the shoes, but he wanted his little niece to win, just to see the excitement on her face, back to the mandap, arnav applied the mangal sutra and put the sindoor on and now khushi was officially his , the pandit chanted

Pandit: take the blessings of your elders, u are now husband and wife

Mr and Mrs Arnav Singh Raizada went to take the blessings of nani, then anjili congratulated the couple, akash and payal followed, then nk and came and hugged arnav, they were all rejoicing when arnav said

Arnav: where's naina

They all looked around to wonder where she was, and suddenly she came out from behind, with a pair of shoes in her hand, they all saw the shoe in her hand and started laughing, anjili and kasha teased arnav, finally arnav said

Arnav: princess give me my shoes back

Naina: no daddy,

Arnav: naina, I need my shoes

Naina: what do I get in return

Arnav: what do you want

And that was it naina started off with her long list of wishes

Nanian: Barbie doll, lulu doll, Disney house, a new tv, a bowl of yummy ice cream,

Arnav looked at his daughters demands, everyone was encouraging naina to ask for more, and khushi watched all this and laughed, she gave anjili the shoes, and made her swear she wouldn't give it to arnav until she told her to, anjili swore too it, then she went to her father and he picked her up and whispered in his ear

Naina: I don't want all this, I just want a happy family, promise me you won't leave us

Arnav's eyes lighted up at her words, she asked him for something which he was more than happy to give her, he would never leave them, everyone wondered what she had whispered in his ear, even khushi looked confused, then arnav slowly whispered back into naina's ears

Arnav: I promise princess, I will never leave you or mom and go anywhere

Naina smiled back and hugged arnav and said in a happy tone

Naina: now your really my daddy

Arnav hugged her back and kissed her cheeks the family still confused on what she whispered anjili asked

Anjili: chottey, what did she tell you

Khushi: ya arnav (she wanted to know)

Arnav: (smirked) nothing its between me and my daughter (he looked at naina) right princess

Naina: (smiled at him) right daddy

Arnav: (raising his eye brow) princess now can I have my shoes back

Naina: (slapping her forehead) eh!! Off corse (she looked at anjili) bua the shoes

Anjili: oh right (she kept the shoes down)

After that arnav and khushi ate dinner all the guests congratulated them, arnav held khushi's hand all the while, they looked like such a magical couple
